In a recent development on the GC22 regulations for broadband migration, communications watchdog Ofcom has decided to close the enforcement program. After enforcement of the regulations, the number of MAC-related complaints saw a steep decline from 825 to 147 in a period of less than a year. This decline has led Ofcom to take the decision of closure.

The FCC seems to be quite persistent in its plans for formalizing the laws on net neutrality, despite opposition from certain sections.
