Computer Backup

It’s happened to most of us; we’ve lost a document or a folder because there was no computer backup. Whether you lost a few lines you were typing because of power failure or your entire system crashed, computer backup is the only way to prevent such mishaps from destroying your files. Computer backup can be basic or sophisticated, costly or simply the price of your average floppy disk. Depending on your needs and the importance of your files, you will need a computer backup system that reflects your budget and your lifestyle.

Many computer users prefer to keep it simple and back up their data with a floppy disk or by copying and pasting documents. This is the most basic form of computer backup, but it is not satisfactory for everyone. Floppy disks often wear out, and you can have files stored on floppy disks for years that might be not perform if they are stored on old disks. On the other hand, if you use your files quite frequently, your floppy disk could wear out, which creates another problem for your floppy disk storage. If you simply store your document elsewhere on your computer, it might not survive a complete computer crash, although minor annoyances should not interfere with your files. Because of problems with viruses, computer crashes are becoming a more frequent occurrence for many PC users, and therefore, computer backup software is the best option for many consumers.

There are many files that are worth the time and investment involved in obtaining good computer backup software. Examples of such files are:

Bank records
Personal documents
Digital photos
Address books
Software downloads
Special projects

The best computer backup software not only creates a copy of your documents automatically, but it uses encryption algorithms to protect your information from unauthorized access and spyware. Your filename will also be encrypted to protect against intrusions. Most computer backup software is quite user friendly, and new files can be added instantly at the click of a mouse.

In addition to many great features, most computer backup software will enable you to:

Create new backup programs
Select files and folders for backup
Define compression settings
Choose target of backup
Store backup info in various locations

The best computer backup programs are not rigid, but allow the user the flexibility to choose where and how their files will be stored. You can choose to have everything copied automatically, or specify which files you wish to have a backup. If you have a large volume of material to store, you can select compression settings, which will minimize the size of your documents and will enable you to store more information. You can also choose where you want your backup information to be stored, and you can place the data in various locations automatically, for instance, in your hard drive, USB stick, Network folder, CD, DVD and Remote FTP Server. You can also create a simultaneous backup communication between a remote FTP server and local storage devices.

Your computer backup software should provide easy user interface, the option to store your data in multiple versions and the capability to restore your files to their original folders. Most programs have a very easy to use help menu, and many have service lines to help customers who wish to communicate with an assistant. You can also obtain special features for your computer backup software, such as a disaster recovery CD or DVD, which will get your computer back up and running after a crash. You can have peer to peer backups for extra protection and virus scanning capabilities that will safeguard your valuable files against tampering.

Computer backup software varies in prices, and it is worthwhile to invest in the best program you can afford, especially if your business depends on valuable files. Don’t let an unexpected computer crash destroy your valuable data, but invest in computer backup software today.

NanoTech and Cancer Cures at a Cross Roads

As NanoTech and BioTech merge we will soon find the cures to many of mankind’s most pressing medical issues and perhaps cures for many types of cancers. Consider micro mechanical delivery systems to the concentrated areas where cancer cells are or even search and destroy systems, which will go through the body and weed out the cancer cells from the biosystem? How far are such technologies from reality?

Not too far and some are ready to be tested on real humans, as they have already proven themselves effective in lab situations. One concept is to use micro thin carbon nano-tubes to deliver the medicine to the exact area cancerous area without hurting nearby healthy cells and the concept actually works, now it is only a matter of time to test it on humans, but really is only one of many such new techniques and technologies being considered today.

Others are also in the pipeline and everyday some medical researcher or scientists thinks of another possible way to cure some type of cancer you see? Within the next two decades scientists and research and development labs may be well on their way to eliminating cancer deaths as one of the leading causes of deaths in the first world? Eventually thru economies of scale these new techniques can be made available to humans across the Globe, Imagine a World with no cancer?

Windshield Repair Process

Repairing a windshield is based on principles like any other kind of repair. The difference lies in the quality of the repair affects directly your safety and driving comfort. At Goober’s Windshield Repair, we want you to feel comfortable with windshield repair. In order to achieve that purpose, we are revealing everything about windshield repair, inside out; no secrets, no hidden information. We hope that when you understand windshield repair, you will be less guarded against windshield repair services, amiss all those disreputable trickery some automobile service technician employ to retain customers and profit from unnecessary “repairs.”

Before we begin with the repair process, we should evaluate when and why you should have your windshield repaired. You should always have your windshield repair at the first damage it takes, when it is still a small ding. When you repair that, at a considerably lower cost, the chip will fill in, restoring windshield strength and prevent further cracking. If you leave the chip in the windshield, sooner or later it will crack open, developing into a full length crack. The problems with a crack are that it weakens the windshield substantially, is harder to hide cosmetically even with repair, is easier to get contaminated and that not everyone can perform crack repairs. Crack repairs require another set of equipment different from chip repairs.

To fully appreciate the value of windshield chip repair, you should read our other article, Understanding Windshield Chip Repair. Visit http://www.gooberswindshieldrepair.com to access this article.

In this article, we will be repeating some information also found in our article on fixable chips and cracks. Visit http://www.gooberswindshieldrepair.com to access this article.

Chip Repair

A chip, or more commonly called ding, is a small break caused by object impact from stones and projectiles. The break can be structurally classified as bullseye, star break, and combination. Most other structural breaks are derivations of these three basic types.

In order to properly fix chips, several steps must be followed to ensure the best repair. Beginning with preparation, the technician cleans the surface of the damaged area of loose glass shards. Then the center of the impact point is opened up through drilling to facilitate resin injection. Depending on the type of break, the chip may be further “tapped” to create a reservoir in the glass through which resin can flow easier into harder-to-reach spots.

Now that the chip surface has been prepared, the technician aligns the injector head to the chip entry point, first vacuuming the air out of the break and then following through with resin injection. When the chip has filled, under a curing light, the resin in the chip begins to solidify, bonding the cracked windshield together. The remaining steps involve curing additional layers of resin onto the chip impact point to ensure a smooth surface and polishing to protect the resin from chemicals in the air and wiper washers.

Prelude to Crack Repair

Crack repair deserves a little more attention. Before you consider a crack repair, please ask yourself the following questions:

What type of crack is it?
How long has it been there?
Where is the crack?
What are you trying to achieve with a crack repair?

If the crack is a single long crack (one impact point, one crack) and under 24 inches, a crack repair is feasible over a windshield replacement. If there are multiple single long cracks in different locations, then you also need ask yourself what you want from the repair. If the crack has many legs (one impact point, multiple cracks) then you should eliminate repair from your considerations and go directly to replacement. There has been too much structural distortion to properly repair that. Lastly, if the crack is a stress crack, meaning that it developed without an external break, then either your windshield is defective or your car frame has somehow warped that an abnormal stress pattern is exerted on the windshield.

Next, after a rigorous process of elimination and you determined that your crack belongs to those fixable single long cracks, you should also know how long the crack has been there. Cracks one month old are repairable. Over that you should consult a repair technician. Factors such as the number of car washes, types of car washes, driving environment and overnight parking locations will affect the cleanliness of your crack.

The answer to the next question is basically a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to repair.

Q: “Where is the crack?” (Should I repair the windshield?)
A: “Over the driver’s primary viewing area.” (No.)
A: “Somewhere else.” (Yes.)

Lastly if you want to have a perfectly transparent windshield, you should opt for replacement. Repair will improve it cosmetically but sometimes and at some angles you will be able to see a thin line and a little bit of visual distortion, but not enough to affect your driving ability. I recommend you to get a replacement if you have multiple single long cracks, unless you care less about seeing visual blemishes than paying top dollars for a good replacement.

Crack Repair

Now that we have got through the administrative material, let’s get to the point.

Crack repair begins with creating a tip for the crack. The tip serves as an end point for the crack; in other words, you can imagine the tip as a heavy weight anchor that the crack is tied to. Filling the tip in separately, the technician then proceeds to inject resin into the crack starting from its impact point. Then slowly and methodically the technician moves the injector along the crack path and filling those spaces gradually until reaching the vicinity of the tip. After resin has finished filling, the technician cures the resin.

Resin

One very important element of repair is the resin. Resin viscosity rating correlates to its strength. For chip repairs, the resin viscosity is lower than the resin viscosity used in crack repairs. The reason being that resin used for chip repairs need to be versatile to go into nooks-and-crannies and less for strength, since the structural damage is very small. For cracks, there are no small spaces to wedge into and it is very important to have stronger resin to fully bond the crack together.

Curing Light

Curing light plays a crucial role in repair quality and time. The right curing light only will properly cure the resin in a shorter time span. This enables the vehicle owner to assume normal usage of the car right after the repair.

Windshield repair is a simple process; all it takes to get a quality repair is knowing what and when to repair and having the right technician.

Book Yourself Solid Key #4: Produce A Powerful Personal Bran

Copyright 2005 Michael Port & Associates LLC

Would you rather be a big fish in a little pond or a little fish in a big pond? No matter which pond you want to swim in… you’re still going to have to become known for one thing if you want to get your trunks wet! The most successful professionals master one domain (the little pond) and then they go on to tackle bigger things.

Some people fear niches because they think it will limit their success or potential. That could not be farther from the truth. If you want to create a thriving business you must develop a personal brand that highlights two things:

1. Your “WHO and DO WHAT” statement
2. Your “call to action”

This dual purpose message communicates your offerings on two distinct and essential levels. Your “WHO and DO WHAT” statement tells people who you help and what you help them do. Mine is “I help service professionals book themselves solid.” Your “call to action” connects you to the people you’re meant to reach. It’s the reason you do what you do - your purpose. I’m the “guy to call when you’re tired of thinking small.”

So first off, tell potential clients who else you’ve helped in similar situations and how you did it. Remember you aren’t the only one who can help them. Your competition may have a similar (or even the same) “WHO and DO WHAT” statement. Clients decide to hire you once they understand your “WHO and DO WHAT” statement and emotionally connect with your “call to action.”

WRITTEN EXERCISE:

What is your “WHO and DO WHAT” statement? ________________________________________________

What is your “call to action”?
________________________________________________

Find your niche and create a personal branding message that tells everyone what you can do to help them (”WHO and DO WHAT”) and what it’s like to be around you (”call to action”). Then go bravely forward… splish, splash and boldly express what you are known for!

Stayed tuned for Key #5

Central heating breakdown cover for householders

Central heating breakdown cover can be analogous to central heating service contracts and most firms will bundle fault insurance together with yearly service charges. It’s an excellent idea to consider your central heating breakdown cover as a key component, and cover some vital points in relation to the service you’re getting.

Remember, a heating system breakdown can go from being incommodious to a disaster, so be careful that you’ll be afforded the best service, be it as part of a central heating package or as stand-alone central heating breakdown cover.

The essential item is to check your package offer 24 hour access and that engineers are CORGI qualified. Once that’s assured you can choose the company that looks easiest to you and your family.

You’ll turn up several unusual extras from the various central heating insurance cover firms, especially if a bundle you’re considering is included with a GCH service contract. Be sure you keep an eye out for the above as the bare minimum standard, and you will be insured against the overwhelming majority of problems householders purchasing central heating breakdown cover may come across.

One last thing: be perfectly sure they don’t have restrictions on the amount of call outs you will be able to ask for over the course of your contract. Some suppliers may sink a limit in the terms and conditions of their paperwork and the last possible thing you should have to put up with during an emergency is to be shown you’ve taken the upper limit allocation of home visits!

Acne Scar Removal and Treatment - A Complete How-To Guide

At some point in life, almost everyone experiences acne. For some, acne is nothing more than an annoying and sometimes embarrassing rite of passage that occurs during adolescence, when hormone levels surge. Others unfortunately suffer extreme bouts of acne. Either situation can however, result in mild or severe acne scarring.

Several different acne scarring treatments are available. These work to help the scarred area return to a more ‘normal’ appearance because most acne scars, like any type of scarring, can almost never be permanently removed.

The available treatment options differ considerably in their approach and what’s right for a person will depend on several factors including the type and extent of scarring involved, an evaluation of how the scarring is impacting the person’s livelihood and the individual’s budget. It’s always advisable to thoroughly discuss treatment options with a dermatologist before making a decision.

Causes of Acne Scars

As with all scarring, acne scars result from tissue damage. When tissue is damaged, the body reacts by initiating the repair process and taking steps to protect against infection. Collagen is something the body sends to the damaged area but sometimes the body produces too much. When this happens, the excess collagen builds up into a fibrous mass that ends up becoming a smooth and firm acne scar with an irregular shape. Acne scars also result when tissue is lost and this is actually the more common reason scars develop. Many different types of scarring exist within this latter category including the well-known ‘ice-pick’ scar, depressed scars, soft scars, atrophic macules and others.

Treatment Options

Injecting collagen into the scar site is an effective method for most people however it’s one that’ll need to be repeated regularly, about every 3 - 6 months. Once injected under the skin, the collagen puffs out the scar area, making the scar less noticeable.

A similar process involves using a person’s own body fat. This treatment option is called autologus fat transfer. Basically, fat is taken from another part of the body and injected into the acne scar, causing it to fill out. This option also does need to be repeated, although less frequently, because the fat will begin to absorb back into the skin.

Dermabrasion is a common treatment method for most types of acne scarring. It’s done under local anesthesia. In this procedure, a thin layer of surface skin is removed using a fraise or a brush set on high speed. Removing the surface layer can actually remove some shallow scarring at the surface and it can lessen the depth of deeper scarring. Microdermabrasion also removes the surface skin but does so using crystals of aluminum oxide that pass through a vacuum.

Laser treatment is another acne scar treatment option. Lasers of various intensity and wavelength are aimed at the scarring with the goal of changing a scar’s shape. Depending on the scar, permanent results can sometimes be achieved. Again, multiple treatments may be necessary.

Other acne treatment options are available including skin grafting and skin surgery, but these extreme procedures are reserved primarily for deep scarring or extreme situations.

Acne Guides provides people with quick, relevant and free acne resources that they can download and take away with them for easy reference.

Network Marketing Training - The Three Landmines of MLM Success

There are many things that can take you out of Network Marketing, and MLM. I call them “MLM Landmines.” These are things that can sneak up on you, and blow you right out of the water, and totally out of Success. If you understand these three things, you will find that Success will be much easier to obtain, and your Network Marketing business will be able to stay on track.

What is a Landmine? It is something that is used in a battle, that is buried underneath the ground, and when someone steps on it, it blows up. It is the same principle with MLM. You are in a battle yourself. It is a battle between Success and Mediocrity, and the battlefield is your thinking. It can be a fierce battle as Success intimidates a lot of people who have embraced mediocrity, and many times your friends will not want you to walk that Success Path in network marketing, and leave them behind. Don’t leave them behind. Offer to take them with you.

The three MLM Landmines are easy to spot, if you know where they are, and what they look like.

So…what are they?

1) The Landmine of Listening to the WRONG PEOPLE.

Many times, we can be really on a roll, and having Success in MLM, and when something goes wrong, then the people start talking. The Negative Crowd shows up, and starts telling you that they were right, and you are going to fail. They tell you that you are stupid for wanting more in life, and you should be happy where you are. “Don’t think that you are all that,” they often say, and they start the negative banter.

Let me ask you a serious question:

What Success do they honestly have in their life that gives them the right to try and steal yours?

If you are not careful, their words will blow up your dreams, and you will end up discouraged and wanting to quit. NEVER listen to the Wrong People.

Who are the Wrong People? They are negative, limiting, and never going anywhere folks who want everybody else to go nowhere. God bless them, but they are not focused on making a life, but simply living a life.

Beware of that Landmine. You deserve a Life of Total Success.

2) Doubting what your Dreams are telling you.

This MLM landmine is a big one. Your dreams can tell you that you are on your way, and Success in Network Marketing is right around the corner. And then you start getting some No’s, and you start falling back in that rut thinking of Doubt and Hesistation.

STOP RIGHT THERE!

Don’t take another step towards that MLM Landmine. Everything you need to Succeed in MLM you already have in your heart. Just put your business on “Automatic Dream Pilot” and let your dreams steer you around these Landmines, and around what your thinking is telling you.

You WILL SUCCEED, if you simply let your Dreams pilot your Success Vehicle.

3) Thinking that you will give this business a certain amount of time, and if it has not happened by then, then it is not going to happen.

This Landmine is one that has taken millions out of this business. And it is NOT the way you work Network Marketing.

You work MLM on IT’s TERMS, not yours. You must give MLM the time that is needed to grow YOU first, then grow the business. A tree does not grow in 6 months, and an MLM business will not grow in 6 days. You must give it time, and the time that is required to Succeed.

The timing factor is different for everyone and where it may take one person 3 months to ignite a SuccessFire in their business, it may take you a year. Give to your business TOTAL commitment, and a TOTAL decision to go the distance. And you will find that your Success path has been cut down considerably, as people respond totally different to a person that has an “I will not be denied” focus, and “whatever it takes” mindset.

Beware of these MLM Landmines, and make sure that you steer clear of them. You don’t want them to take you out of the Success game, and out of the MLM Wealth Machine that is possible for your life and future.

You are a Winner, and this battle is easy to win. Just be careful of what lies underneath your Success Path and who is trying to lay Landmines of Failure in front of you.

Secret #1: How to write an incredible eBook!

One of the biggest problems that most eBook writers and

Intentionalize The Coming Year In Three Steps

Today is the first day of the rest of the year. I hope 2006 is your best year ever in both personal and business terms. While some events are beyond our control, others are clearly within our ability to create the desired outcomes, or at least come close. Here are three steps to help you have your best year ever.

Step One - Define your goals. For some it will be increased sales volume, profit, or enhanced staff training, others will want to expand their facilities and / or geographic reach, still others have customer retention or new customer acquisition goals. The key issue is to know what outcomes are desired. Take some time and list your goals for your best year ever. Don’t just think of them while in the shower (I can’t tell you how may people do their best thinking while the water runs but it is difficult to keep your notepaper from getting soggy). Set aside a little time today and list them - on paper.

Step Two - Determine how to achieve those outcomes, the action steps that will be necessary. Some may take months of planning, have many steps utilizing the efforts and talents of a number of people along with periodic oversight. Plot the steps on a calendar to insure keeping everything on schedule. Establish who will be responsible for each task, when it will be done, the time and money budget for each task.

Step Three - Monitor and update the plan. Using that calendar, determine how often and when it will be reviewed. Few projects go as smoothly as planned so mid-course corrections will be necessary. Plan the review process in the beginning so the projects stay on track.

Follow those three steps for each action necessary to achieve the results you intend. It may not work out exactly as you plan, but this process sure works better than just hoping for success.

Start the year off intentionally and you are on the way to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. I hope you have your best year ever… by intention!
